Each month we celebrate our character goals at our monthly character assembly. This month our students participated in and contributed to an inspiring assembly on HOPE. AND… to celebrate, we all wore crazy hair!!!

The construction continues and as the sign says, full day kindergarten is here at Mackenzie King in just 5 months. The new addition will house 3 FDK classrooms In addition to other classrooms. We have a bit of building yet to go.

We were so fortunate to have Karen and Jeff, third year music students from WLU, at Mackenzie King. Together with Linda, music therapist, they worked with our students in room 4, engaging them in music therapy.

As you may be aware, the Waterloo Region District School Board’s school year calendar has designated March 7, 2014 as a Professional Development Day. Students will not be at school on this day.

It was a beautiful sunny day with lots of excitement and Olympic spirit at Mackenzie King. The digging has started !!! More frost in the ground than expected that has to be broken up before excavation can begin. Thanks to all of our construction workers who brave the cold every day.
