Strong start is an amazing literacy program that teaches young students their letters, sounds and common sight words necessary for accurate reading. Volunteers work with individual children in a game and play based program. All materials are provided. Volunteers are trained. The first training is on January 21st at 7:00 pm at Glencairn school. Other training option dates can be found at strong start.ca. Please contact Ms. McBride if you are able to help in this valuable literacy program for students. There are several students anxiously awaiting people like you to work with them.
