Beginning today, Dec. 2, and running until Dec. 17th, our Grade 6’s at MK are asking students, families, staff and community to come together and demonstrate our December goal of Social Responsibility by helping to “Stuff a Sled” with items for the Food Bank. Together we can help to give families in need the perfect gift- a full belly! Ways you can stuff our sleigh:
*canned proteins – tuna, salmon, chicken, peanut butter
*canned fruits in their own juices or light syrup
*100% fruit juices ( all sizes including juice boxes)
*grains (pasta, whole wheat pasta, brown rice, macaroni & cheese); bags of beans-black, brown, kidney
*condiments (tomato-based sauces; light soya sauce; ketchup; mustard; light salad dressings)
*canned vegetables- low sodium/no salt added
*soups (beef stew, chili, chicken noodle, turkey rice)
*multi-grain cereals (cheerios; corn flakes; raisin bran)

Thank you in advance. Please send food items whenever it is convenient and our Grade 6’s will take the lead to organize, count, assemble and prepare for delivery. Let’s make this the biggest donation ever!!!! Let’s show our community how much we care. Together we are stronger and make a difference.
