image image image image imageStudents discover helpful strategies to, not only solve problems but, really understand problems, solutions and thinking.  They use tools to check their answers and their thinking.  In this example, drawing a picture or using a model proved very helpful to confirm that  6 Blue Jay hitters scored 6 runs.  Had the hits been in a different order, they realized the number of runs scored is not always 6.  They also saw how batters can get “stranded” on base and not score.  All of this as we actually learn math and strategies for solving all problems.  GO JAYS GO.  You are helping us learn at Mackenzie King in more ways than baseball!
