Many people have been asking about school supplies. Every teacher is so different as to what they want for their students so it is difficult to post a generic list. We do not want parents to buy anything that may not be used. The 5 things for sure are
1) a good backpack big enough for lunches, indoor shoes, planner and library books
2) reusable lunch containers that kids can open themselves
3) lunch bag or kit
4) indoor shoes
5) box of Kleenex

You will probably never go wrong with pencils, coloured pencils, erasers, ruler, glue stick and water bottle. But anything beyond this, I would suggest waiting and individual teachers will share their requested items in the first week of school. Some teachers like specific coloured duo tangs for certain subjects; some like binders; some do not like binders; some may ask for stickies but again the size may vary.

See you on September 8th at 8:55 am (grades 1-6). If your child is in JK/SK you should have received your staggered entry schedule. There is no school for SK students on Sept 8th. Their new JK classmates are meeting with their teacher on that day. All SK students begin school on Wednesday Sept. 9th. JK students attend either Wednesday the 9th full day OR Thursday the 10th full day, BUT NOT BOTH DAYS. Friday Sept 11th, all JK students attend and staggered entry process is complete.
