Examples of grade six student learning:

What are the safety procedures for observing the sun?
Use a welder’s mask for proper protection.

How does the sundial demonstrate the motions of bodies in our solar system?
The sundial shows what direction the sun moves and that the earth rotates because the shadow moves.

How does daylight savings time affect the accuracy of your sundial?
You would have to change the clock from 12:00 to 1:00 so you would have to reposition the sundial or just remember it’s off by 1 hour!
