Grace Schmelzle shared her experiences in Kenya this summer building a school. Students made many connections to the resources and needs of students in Kenyan schools and communities with our schools and communities  in Canada. Grace addressed many questions that the students generated. Taking a shower by  having a bucket of water dumped over you was quite an eye opener. Students saw one of Grace’s  home made out of mud and “poop.”  But spices in the ceiling helped it to smell really good. What a great educational real life experience for our Mackenzie King students.
