2014 – Courses in Kitchener – Flyer

Stranger Danger; Internet Safety & Bullying 101

Running for its second year now, back by very popular demand from the families who have taken our courses and are looking for more information to enhance their children’s education, regarding being safe. Again, this course teaches children aged 7-13 all of the dangers, challenges, and safety aspects involved with the internet, strangers, bullying, telephones, and the people involved with using technology. In this fast growing and changing world that we are growing with; when it comes to strangers, technology and bullying, this course will help to teach our children what some parents cannot.

Home Alone Course with First Aid

This course teaches children the skills to walk home from school, use their house keys, enter their home safely, while looking for dangers. They will learn everything that they need to know in order to stay safe at home alone. This course also teaches basic first aid for and the skills to call 911 and how to recognize and act on an emergency.

The Babysitters Course

This is our ever popular course for those pre-teens who would like to start learning the skills to take care of another person, whether that be a sibling, or a neighbour. This course is also useful to those who may not want to babysit just yet, but to learn more skills above and beyond the Home Alone Course with First Aid.

In the school year of 2013/2014, all of our courses were a huge success. The families were very appreciative that there are courses designed to help their children to stay safe while home alone, learning about strangers and personal safety, as well as, learning to take care of others. Our courses continue to be very popular, especially on the scheduled PD Days. The families are appreciative that they have care for their child while they may be at work that day, at the same time their child is learning very valuable

information to add to their education.

The courses continue to be very successful among the families of the WRDSB. This will be our 13th year delivering our flyers to the children in the WRDSB, it continues to be very beneficial to the families.
